Jonah 1:1-6

From our first sermon in our series through the book of Jonah. We see how Jonah, like his namesake the dove, flies away from God in a silly and senseless manner. The Lord calls him to preach against the evil of the Ninevites, yet Jonah seeks to flee from the Lord's presence. Jonah will find that even in the storm on the Mediterranean Sea, and even in the belly of the whale he will not escape The Lord. Obeying God's call is always worth it, disobedience is always foolish.
